Afrobeats & Afro-Fusion Artist Bridging Africa and Europe. Music Without Borders

NazB (born Michael Ikenna Ozigbo) is a Nigerian-born, Zurich-based Afrobeats and Afro-fusion artist redefining African music in Zurich, Switzerland, and across Europe. Recognized as one of the leading voices in the Afrobeat and Afrohouse scene in Europe, NazB delivers a powerful, genre-blending sound that fuses Afrobeats, Afrohouse, Amapiano, Afro-pop, Afro dance music, Euro dance, and hip-hop into one unmistakable musical identity.

Originally from Anambra State, Nigeria, NazB was raised in a musically rich household deeply rooted in West African culture. Surrounded by singing and live instrumentation from an early age, he developed a natural connection to rhythm, melody, and storytelling. His persistence and resilience earned him the nickname Nazodobas in his youth — a name that later evolved into NazB, symbolizing both his personal growth and his journey from Africa to Europe.

At just 18 years old, driven by an unshakable belief in his talent, NazB left home to pursue his music dream independently. His journey took him across Mali, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, Suriname, and Brazil, where street life, cultural immersion, and lived experiences deeply influenced his artistry. These formative years shaped his authentic sound and positioned him as a global Afrobeat artist with real-life depth and international perspective.

Now firmly based in Zurich, Switzerland, NazB stands at the crossroads of African rhythm and European dance culture, making him a key figure in the growing Afrobeat and Afrohouse movement in Switzerland and Europe. His music reflects the pulse of modern Afrobeats while seamlessly integrating Amapiano grooves, Afrohouse basslines, Afro-pop melodies, and global dance elements, aligning him with internationally recognized artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, alongside global icons like 50 Cent and South African house pioneer Black Coffee.

NazB’s versatility allows him to move effortlessly between high-energy Afro dance anthems, Afrohouse and Amapiano club tracks, soulful Afro-pop records, and conscious hip-hop storytelling. His lyrics explore love, struggle, identity, social injustice, and personal growth — music driven by freedom of expression and lived experience.

Over the years, NazB has performed extensively across Europe and Africa, earning a reputation for electrifying live performances and a commanding stage presence. In Switzerland, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the Afrobeat scene in Zurich, sharing stages with international artists and contributing to the rise of Afrobeat and Afrohouse culture across Europe. His work has received international recognition, including an Honourable Mention Certificate from Billboard for songwriting excellence, alongside multiple awards such as Africans in the Diaspora, and features across major media platforms in Europe, Africa, and North America.

In August 2025, NazB released Ikenna, his most ambitious and personal project to date. The 21-track album — named after his Igbo first name — is a celebration of heritage, resilience, and global sound, showcasing a masterful blend of Afrobeats, Afrohouse, Amapiano, Afro-pop, and Afro dance music. Ikenna firmly establishes NazB as one of the leading Afrobeat artists in Switzerland and a rising force in the European Afrobeat and Afrohouse music scene.

With Afrobeats, Afrohouse, and Amapiano dominating global charts, NazB’s mission is clear: to position Switzerland and Europe as major hubs for African music and culture while carrying African sound to the world. From Zurich to Lagos, from Europe to the Americas, NazB continues to push boundaries, inspire unity, and redefine what it means to be a global Afro-fusion artist.
